Old time classic for Calgarians. Best steak ever for me! Excellent wine selection and warm decor, can't ask for more. Go for the rib eye!

Calgary legend for Prime Rib. While they have a reputation for having a good soup and salad bar - their Prime Rib is something not to be missed when in Calgary

jan van mourik replied over 4 years agoNice little Thai restaurant
Located in the Best Western Airport Inn. Actually, it's in the breakfast room, pretty small. But the food was good. And a friendly atmosphere. So if you're staying near the airport on Barlow Trail, and you're tired of Perkins and Chili's, give it a try!

Deb Hutton replied over 4 years agoOsteria de Medici in Kensington is a great Italian restaurant - convenient to downtown, and a great afternoon/evening out. Pricey, but worth it!

Paradise Hunter replied over 3 years agoSugo on 9th Avenue is a great place for foodies. The gourmet menu is different everyday and the service is so personal. Angelo and Jesse are great! And just two doors down from Sugo, there's a great little dessert/wine bar that's open till midnight. It's the perfect little spot to finish off the night..Nectar Desserts...both are a bit pricey, but if its romance and/or superb food you want this is a good bet. And because they are a little off-the-beaten path, you are usually ok without a reservation. ;)

Tyler Martin replied over 3 years agoEasily one of the most authentic Albertan restaurants (all types of game, steaks and fresh water fish) is the Bear's Den. Just outside of Calgary on highway 1A, just past 12 Mile Coulie road and on the left at the top of the hill. $$$$
