Douglas Fir Resort...aawwweesome...great rates....

Homestead Inn in Banff. It's inexpensive, and just a block or so from the main shopping area.

Ptarmigan Inn. Central location handy for all the great restaurants, with a nice bar for pre dinner drinks meetups (full of Brits in the winter!) with great bar staff, and a fantastic log fire.
