Sulamita Garcia replied over 3 years agoWalk at Paulista Av and eat/drink in one of the many bar available there. Check the Ibirapuera Park and maybe dinner in one of the many good Italian restaurants at Bixiga neighborhood. If you can spend a bit more, go to have dinner at Sky(Unique Hotel) or Terraço Italia, and enjoy a wonderful view of the city at night.

Carla de Souza Campos replied over 3 years agoHaving breakfast at Pátio do Colégio, in the centre of the city, is a favourite of mine. The Monastery/ Museum is where the city was founded almost 500 years ago. After eating, head for a walk around the city centre for a glimpse of what São Paulo is all about: a mixture of old and new, rich and poor, happy and sad. Some of the most iconic buildings are in the area (Banespa Building, Copan, Edifício Itália, among many others).
The centre was renovated a while back and has become a lot safer. It's OK to walk around during the day, just don't stay after dark.
One restaurant I really enjoy going to for either lunch or dinner on weekends is Spot (at Al. Ministro de Rocha Azevedo, 72 - Bela Vista). Sal Gastronomia is also a good option, but they are closed on Sundays and only open for lunch on Saturdays (R. Minas Gerais, 350 - Higienópolis)
