Simon Schoeters replied over 2 years agoNice small pub/restaurant in a beautiful square in the city center. There is a terrace on the square in the summer. De Werf is a very creative place: coffee comes in a thermos, there are blankets on the terrace, hot chocolate is warm milk with real chocolate flakes, etc. Go early as space is limited a park your car somewhere else, there are only a few places on the square.

Simon Schoeters replied over 2 years agoThis is not a restaurant as such, it's a traditional chip shop or "fritkot" (in Dutch). It's the real Belgian fast food you have to try while you are in Belgium. A "fritkot" may be a full restaurants offering table service or a caravan, trailer or even a converted van or bus only offering take away. This one is a trailer with a few tables so could eat there.
