Stephen Collins replied over 4 years agoBlue (formerly the W, but now owned by India's Taj group) in Woolloomooloo is my favorite hotel in Sydney. Always beautifully presented, and the staff remember your name! Best of all, it's out of the city. Just a 10 minute walk into the CBD.
This tip has the address "3 Cowper Wharf Road, Woolloomooloo" -
Martin Villig replied over 4 years agoWe stayed at the hotel Stellar (www.hotelstellar.com), a small but nice place just near the Hyde park and Oxford street (shopping, bars and nightclubs). 15 minute walk to Darling Harbour and CBD. Prices from $150

Dana Craig replied over 4 years agoThe downtown Hilton near the QVB is fantastic. The rooms are updated, comfortable, and relaxing. The location is great - right in the thick of things. For longer stays, I rent an apartment at the Apex in North Sydney. North Sydney has easy access to the CBD, but it's also great just to stay north of the bridge and stroll through the Blues Point and Kirribilli neighborhoods - good cafes, restaurants, and shops.
