Celena Tan replied over 4 years agoIf you want to spent it in the city, start the morning with brekky on Degraves Street - there is a Belgian waffle stand there that is just fantastic :-) Then wonder along the Southbank and maybe hop on a ferry for a ride to Williamstown. If you are there on a Sunday there is a market on in Southbank or wonder down to St Kilda Beach. If you feel like a drive out of the city, I would go for a drive along the great Ocean Road and have lunch and a wonder around Lorne.

Peter Anderson replied over 4 years agoFind a cafe in St Kilda, Fitzroy or Brunswick East, grab The Age and work it out from there. There's always plenty to do for everybody.

Tobie Cameron replied over 4 years agoBreakfast in either North Fitzroy (ici, or the organic foodstore) or South Yarra (The Lawson Grove milkbar here:http://bit.ly/lawsongrovemilkbar is my personal favourite and you just wouldn't know it unless you heard it from someone). Then try ACMI for art and culture on display.
Dinner in the city at Gills Diner, and a sleep in sunday.

Brett Nelson replied over 4 years agoTo experience local culture, i suggest visiting the MCG or Etihad Stadium to watch a game of Australian Rules Football. Australian Rules is played between March and September with games on each weekend (Friday night, Saturday and Sunday).
