Tae Baker replied over 3 years agoA fantastic day. Once in, almost everything is free. Pay only for "professional photos" and $1 for kangaroo feed. While you do have to pay $20ish to hold a koala for a photo, you can have unlimited photos taken of you by another person. When I was last there I took over 100 shots of my friends while they held and shared the koala. Feeding the kangaroos is fantastic! You don't want to go when it is too hot, as they are sleepy in the heat. Food here is also reasonably priced, less than what you pay for in the CBD. Free parking, or better yet, catch the CityCat or jump on a bus.

Tae Baker replied over 3 years agoFor an enjoyable late afternoon evening with low costs, walk along the broadwalk (CBD river walk) and across the Storey Bridge to catch sunset behind the CBD from the cliffs. Then stroll back over the bridge and into China Town. Alternatively, then walk back to Southbank and back past QPAC to the CBD. Photographers will have a ball. The Goodwill Bridge is excellent for a short cut back to the CBD if you want skip the bulk of Southbank.

Tae Baker replied over 3 years agoThese guys do the $2 Sunday. $2 steaks and $2 reef fish. $1 extra for fries or salad. For $6 you can fill up and get some cheap beer at the same time. Be ready for lines though and good wait, but it is a popular Sunday hangout.
