Fino, in McLaren Vale

It's very easy to cruise around the McLaren Vale wine region and not eat anything at all except an olive or two at Coriole Winery. So, stop for lunch at a restaurant called Fino, where you'll be served a delicious Italian long lunch accompanied by a fantastic selection of wines from the region. Delicioso!

Fasta Pasta

Excellent value Italian meals including pasta, pizza, and some meat/seafood dishes. Licensed to serve alcohol. Gelato too.

Too many to mention. But the best coffee is from Cibo in Rundle Street. And the best hot chocolate from Lucia's in the Central Market.

Farina on Hindmarsh Square (city centre, at the Rundle St end of Rundle Mall) - really innovative & interesting Italian food, reasonably priced & excellent service.

For the best breakfasts go Hutt St, and my favourite is Chianti. The most delightful breakfast and sorry to the Cibo fans but the best coffee, Lucia's second and Cibo third for best coffee in Adelaide.

Sparrow, in O'Connell St, North Adelaide. Great vibe, great food.

A fantastic place to eat with both savoury and sweet options. Vegan Oreo cupcakes were fantastic, and there is also the "Chocolate Filth" for two which is very indulgent...

Unusual decor, the meals can vary so remember to tell them if you're very hungry! The large nachos are VERY big, the potato skins are usually pretty good and the burritos are okay. The nachos or the dip plate are my hot tips. The staff are very friendly and happy to alter dishes, particularly if you don't like spice or are vegetarian.

Interesting atmosphere, with drawers labelled "dental powder" and all the old bottles etc. You can eat in the cellar but of course it is a bit cold... The food is very good but this is also matched by the prices, and you need to pay for the water!!

Great beer garden/courtyard featuring barrels and locally brewed Coopers. An oasis away from the often harsh South Australian sunlight.
